Dear Colleagues,

We cordially invite you to submit abstracts of original work to the 12th Annual IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems (IEEE-NEMS) which will be held between April 9-12, 2017 at the UCLA Luskin Conference Center, Los Angeles, California, USA. IEEE-NEMS is a premier conference series sponsored by the IEEE Nanotechnology Council that focuses on the promotion of advanced research in MEMS, nanotechnology, and molecular technology. It is designed to provide an intense but friendly environment for engineers and researchers from academia as well as industry to present their latest scientific and technological findings. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, Micro/Nanoelectromechanical systems, Nanomaterials, Nanophotonics, Nanoscale Robotics, Molecular sensors and actuators, and Nanomedicine. Prior IEEE-NEMS conferences have attracted over 350 attendees from more than 20 countries and regions worldwide.

Over the years, IEEE-NEMS has strived to feature high quality invited presentations from leaders and pioneers in the NEMS discipline. At IEEE-NEMS 2017, the plenary speakers will include

  • Dr. James C. Liao, President of Academia Sinica of Taiwan and Ralph M. Parsons Foundation Professor of UCLA
  • Dr. Joanna Aizenberg, the Amy Smith Berylson Professor of Materials Science at Harvard's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences
  • Dr. Adrian Ionescu, Full Professor of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and Director of the Laboratory of Micro/Nanoelectronic Devices.

We will add additional invited speakers to this list at a later time.

The host city Los Angeles is the second largest city of the United States. Located on the west coast, Los Angeles is known for its year-round mild weather and easy access to beaches and other natural beauties. Los Angeles is also known for its high-tech industry and world class universities such as UCLA, USC, and Caltech. IEEE-NEMS 2017 will provide laboratory tours of these fine academic institutes to allow conference attendees a unique opportunity to combine leisure with valuable learning experience during their stay.

The important dates of IEEE-NEMS 2017 are:

November 15, 2016 - Abstract submission deadline
December 15, 2016 - Notification of abstract acceptance
January 15, 2017 - Full paper submission deadline
January 15, 2017 - Early bird registration deadline

Please visit http://ieee-nems.org/2017/ for the latest information of IEEE-NEMS 2017 and guidelines for abstract and full paper preparations.

We look forward to seeing you at IEEE-NEMS 2017 in Los Angeles, California!!

Best Regards,
